A new Access Control, AI agents that read your red flag report, and one home for document metadata
May was a busy month across access control, AI, document metadata and integrations. Here are the changes that make the biggest difference to how you organise, find and act on your building documentation.
Access and permissions, redesigned
The fully reworked Access Control page is now the default for every customer, so managing who sees what is clearer from the start.
- Separate Users and Groups tabs, a guided Create-Group wizard with an invite step, and edit and duplicate flows — all without flipping a setting. The previous view stays available as an opt-out for the rest of the release cycle.
- Tighter Norwegian copy: building terms standardised to "bygg" and read-only consistently shown as "lesetilgang".
- Edit users can now generate deficiency reports, and your in-progress edits in the building access editor are kept when data refreshes in the background.
Ask Findable and AI agents
Findable AI got more useful both inside the product and through connected agents like Claude.
- AI agents connected to Findable can now query your building's red flag report — per-theme progress, item lists by status, and the reasoning behind each auto-classification — and refresh the report on demand.
- A new review modal lets you step through the AI's proposed red flag classifications and accept or reject each one before anything is applied.
- The Ask panel is now resizable, expands up to half the screen on wide monitors, and its model, language and tone settings live in a single tidy menu.
- Inside Claude.ai, PDFs now render directly in chat, with in-widget document search and a folder browser so you can explore a building's files without leaving the conversation.
Documents, metadata and reports
Managing document metadata is now far simpler, with one consistent home for the settings you adjust most.
- Tags, Categories and Locations share one settings experience with inline editing, per-card search and instant deletes. Categories and Locations are now building-scoped, so each building shows only what applies to it.
- Create, update and rename your own custom information types, and set per-customer overrides.
- The viewer previews more Excel formats (xlsm, xlsb, xltx) and falls back to extracted text when a spreadsheet can't preview, and filename search now returns full document metadata.
- Red flag report generation shows real-time classification progress and emails you when the report is ready.
Collections, checklists and integrations
A few quality-of-life additions for everyday workflows.
- Pin collections for quick access and filter through them with tabs.
- Checklist items can be answered as multi-select questions, and checklist and task tags now share one unified system.
- Plania ingest failures now surface a clear message instead of failing silently.
